BCN MUN 2015
Organization, nervousness and excitement. If I had to describe the Barcelona MUN conference 2015, the 26th to the 28th November, in three words, it would be with these.
Organization. I have to say it is a great achievement to organize 435 delegates, 23 participating schools, 4 forums with 4 topics each, 2 locations and various guest speakers. Everything went fluently and even the technology, the weak link in such events, did not create too many problems.
Nervousness and excitement go hand in hand. This rush of adrenalin I felt when I spoke in front of 100 people was unique and indescribable.
We were preparing us for months in the working group (AG) for this conference. Naturally we were looking forward to it but at the same time we were nervous, as for some of us it was the first time participating in such a big event. But it was worth it. All the work and time put into it did pay off: speaking in front of about 100 people and meeting partially extraordinary individuals from relative remote countries like Azerbaijan, acting as an ambassador and, of course, having a good reason to dress up for three days. In the end it was a great experience for all of us.
